I ordered a small. Wasn't long enough for the back legs to fit into the back leg sleeves (about 2" too short, but the next size up would have been way too large), so I folded them under, and wrapped around the body with a black velcro cord wrap, which blended well with the black fabric of the costume.Pleased with the hat. Stuffed it with a few Kleenex to puff it out and give it shape.For my purpose, I'm pleased. Again, wish it had been about 2" longer. But was able to make it work.I used this to make a Turkey Butt for my Pom at Thanksgiving. It was the perfect size and stayed on for 2 days until I removed it. He LOVED it, seemed really proud of his tail feathers. I’ve never seen anything like it.This outfit is adorable! Can’t wait to have our 11 lb miniature poodle, Pete, wear it for Thanksgiving. We got a size small and it fit him perfectly.Overall, the costume isn’t made with high quality fabric and the details on the costume look like they could break off easily if they got snagged on something but for a one day a year outfit (considering I didn’t find any competitors selling a similar costume), I think it’s worth it!I’ve gotten much higher quality dog costumes on Amazon for a few dollars less than the price of this pilgrim outfit but, as I a said, I couldn’t find an alternative so I’m happy with my purchase.this costume was a great hit for the turkey run 5k race Me as a turkey and my poochi as a pilgrim boy were the hit of the race the hat could be a little better for staying in placeIT FIT OUR DACHSHUND TO A TEE. The worst costume of ANY kind - including the dollar store - I have ever seen!Cute outfit, fall photos came out good.
