There is room enough for 2 cats if Mouse the Cat lets Zelda or Bandit on his sofa, but usually he is stretched out. The legs screw right on and the cushion fits snugly - total time to put together from box opening to cat napping was about 30 seconds - so easy. The material is very sturdy. The "pet jump up onto the cushion" measurement is about 8.5 inches - low enough for my 20 year old cat to climb up onto the sofa without any extra stairs or ramp.My pooch loves to relax on his couch. Since I have to confine him to an area due to having a new baby, i still wanted to give him comfort of being on a couch and this is it! Pillow and pillow cover is machine washable. The actual furniture you'll have to spot clean or shampoo just like you would do for a human's couch. Kash used to try & fail repeatedly to jump onto our sofa until he got his very own.
