I just took the two microsuede beds I ordered out of the box today. The material is very soft, and the foam seems very nice. I'm still letting mine flatten out and reshape, so haven't actually let the dogs test them out, I'll comment on that in a week or so after they've had a chance to try them out. But I will say that the product shipped within 24 hours and arrived 3-5 days earlier than Amazon's estimate! They arrived in three days.I also e-mailed dogbed4less to figure out what the material was- in some places it is called microsuede, and in others it's suede. The response came within two hours! (It's microsuede, in case anyone else is wondering). Anyway, they seem like great beds so far, and I'm impressed with the company's quick shipping and response time.Update: *It's been a over a year since I bought these beds and wrote the above review. My dogs LOVE these beds, as do I. They have held up extremely well. I love that the beds come with extra covers to swap out when washing, and the waterproof layer is perfect for peace of mind and easy cleaning, if an accident happens. The noise the bed makes when stepped on, or if a dog shifts during the night, is more of a quiet, airy sound of the foam being squished. The waterproof cover really doesn't make much of a sound, but my pups have blankets on top of their beds, so maybe that absorbs the little bit of crinkle that it does make. The zippers are in perfect condition still. My dogs are very hard on their beds (scratching around, play chomping, even digging up entire sides of the bed to plop down under and roll around). You wouldn't know it looking at them! They don't look worn at all. I've had many many dog beds and so many of them get torn with my playful girls. Comfort wise, I've often thought they are much more comfortable than my bed! I'm 120 pounds and the foam is thick enough for me (I think a few reviews mentioned needing to layer the beds). I have a 72 lb. lab and a 67 lb. lab/pit mix. They have slept comfortably on the two beds with a third 40 lb. cockapoo friend if that gives an idea of their large size. Anyways, I can't say enough good about these beds! They are the best I've found, and for a great price. I would highly encourage anyone to spend maybe a little extra money on these beds. They are tough, extremely comfortable, and designed with practicality that is lacking in so many pet products. They may look a little plain compared to others, but if that's an issue it's so easy to throw a patterned blanket and a pillow down on top, and what dog doesn't love that anyways? AWESOME DOG BEDS!!!Second update: I bought these beds ten years ago. I finally threw them away last year, but only because my dogs had passed away and had a number of accidents on them. These beds are still 5+ stars. Several of my family members bought the same beds for their dogs because I recommended them so highly. A few things to add though, after having them for so long. These beds are incredibly resilient. As I stated before, my dogs were tough on these. My yellow lab slept, played, scratched, and rolled on these for 8 years. My lab/pit mix did the same for 9. They kept their shape and comfort. I had the opportunity to find out just how comfortable these were several years ago when I was moving. I had moved my bed to my new home but was staying one more night in the old one. I started setting up a bed on the hard floor and then looked at the dog beds in the corner. I know it's super weird, but they slept in my bed every night back then lol! I totally slept in their beds, with them tucked in around me. I felt great the next day haha! Now if your dog is ill and or getting older, there are some things to keep in mind. What I thought were waterproof covers underneath are water resistant. They'll catch a little liquid, but not a full accident. I found that out the hard way. The best, easiest solution I found was to put disposable doggy pads under the fabric cover and then I also put either a twin mattress protector or a large, washable doggy pad over the top. The washable doggy pads (made for weaning moms and puppies) are lifesavers for catching accidents that go off the side of the beds as well.I can't recommend these enough. Before buying them, I replaced dog beds every year to every couple years. These lasted almost a decade. And again, without the accidents, would have no doubt lasted years more. Great investment, comfortable for dogs of all ages (and the occasional person haha!), and less to send to the landfill when you have such a lasting product.
