Little Rosie is one tough cookie, until thunder shows up, then she is a quivering, pathetic little coward. Her owner, "the boy" is also mildly distressed by the thunder and they hug it out. I don't think this book has any real lesson to be learned from it but my son loves it. I think the Thunder Buddies song from TED is more poignant and helpful than the message brought forth in this book.
